Terracotta
Real fired clay, made to order: handmade and extruded terracotta from Italy, Spain and Mexico in squares, rectangles, hexagons and the classic cotto formats.
Terracotta is the oldest floor there is, and nothing imitates its warmth: every tile is a slightly different shade, and it only gets better with use. We work with family kilns in Tuscany, Spain and Mexico and bring the tile in by the pallet or the container for your project.
Choose handmade (softer edges, more variation) or extruded (cleaner, more even), natural or sealed, in squares from 4 x 4 to 16 x 16 inches, rectangles, hexagons, picket and the traditional Tuscan formats. Matching bullnose, stair treads and skirting come from the same clay.
Because it is made for each order, allow about 8 to 12 weeks from an approved sample. We send samples first, and we can show you installed examples in the showroom.
